Enabling SMTP Authentication for Your Email Account Print this Article
Outgoing Server Address or "Hostname" (SMTP):
mail.yourdomain.com
Substitute "yourdomain.com" with your own domain name.
SMTP Port: 25 or 2525
Some ISP's block port 25, so set to 2525 if it doesn't work.
SMTP Authentication: Enable this setting with one of two options,
- "Use same settings as incoming server",
- Enter a username & password manually (when this option is chosen username & password text boxes are provided. Enter your full email address as the username and then your email account password.
If you prefer to use TLS/SSL encryption to send your messages securely set the SMTP Port to 587 or 465.
Note: This setting may not be supported yet on all of our servers.
